All educational upgrading and skills training is provided by volunteer tutors and all support is provided free of charge.ย By volunteering their time to help their students improve their academic skills, tutors are providing these individuals with the tools they need to enable them to participate confidently in the workplace, in the community and in society.ย Tutors often need to help students consolidate skills they have missed during formal school training. However; tutors also recognize that after a lifetime of learning and coping in everyday society, adult students have many skills they may not realize that they possess.ย Tutors help their students to articulate their goals, and support them as they work towards reaching them through student-centred, individualized training plans.
